DUAL ROLE FIREFIGHTER/PARAMEDICS (Open until filled)

The Virginia Fire Department, a career Fire Department and ALS Ambulance Service, located in St. Louis County, Northern Minnesota has one full-time opening for FIREFIGHTER/PARAMEDIC
 

We are looking for a self-motivated, detail oriented, dedicated individual to serve on our Fire/EMS career team. The candidate must have a strong work ethic, EMS and Fire experience, and an insurable driving record. Firefighter/Paramedics work a 24 hour shift pattern which includes nights, weekends and holidays.
 

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Response to fire and emergency medical calls within the City of Virginia Service Area and to surrounding mutual aid communities

• Participation in fire and EMS training events

• Assisting with fire prevention and public education programs

• Administrative, operational, and housekeeping duties associated with daily firehouse operations
